Race Report: Glenshee SDA and Sam Lawton

Last weekend, the Glenshee SDA race schedule was disrupted by relentless winds. High wind speeds led to the cancellation of practice sessions on saturday, resulting in a modified schedule on Sunday. On race day, riders had an early morning practice session and faced the challenge of just one race run instead of the usual two. The pressure was on for every competitor.

Sam’s Race

Despite these adverse conditions, Sam showed true grit. Not only did he battle the wind, but he also fought off a cold. His determination paid off as he secured an impressive 4th place finish, successfully defending his 3rd position in the overall.

Beyond the Race

Sam wasn’t just an athelet this weekend, he put on his professional hat to help out fellow riders. When mechanical issues struck, Sam was there to assist other riders, promptly fixing broken brakes and getting them back on track

Looking Ahead To Glencoe

As the dust settles from Glenshee, we look toward the next challenge: Glencoe. The Off Beat Bikes crew went riding at Glencoe Mountain Resort ealier in June and thoughly enjoyed a day on the trails. The new features on the red are fantastic – we think this track is going to be an exciting race to watch. The anticipation builds, and we can’t wait to see what unfolds on the new red.
