The days are longer and we have been LOVING an after-work session at the Fort William Bike Park. Opened last year, the Fort William Bike Park is an incredible addition to the local biking scene.
The Bike Park incorporates a Velosolutions World Cup Pump Track and BMX/Skate Park. We also have the first All User Pump Track designed to accommodate adaptive bikes. The park is fully covered by flood lights so you don’t have to stop when the sun goes down.
The Bike Park is open outside school hours so you can ride:
Weekdays: 4pm – 9pm (Mon-Thurs), 2pm – 9pm (Fri)
Weekends: 8:30am – 9pm
School Holidays: 8:30am – 9pm

Our Verdict: We’re head over wheels in love!
The Pumptrack, built by Velosolutions, flows effortlessly. The track is the perfect place for beginners to learn the basics and gain confidence on the bike. For the pros, the track offers steep jumps and fast corners with endless potential.

Next to the pumptrack is the Skatepark which is perfect for BMX and DJ’s. We’ve been having the best time on tiny bikes, popping in and out and learning new tricks.
Community Events
“Our goal is to promote recreational wheeled sports where we inspire the local community by providing accessible, inclusive and inspiring facilities that enable and encourage people to engage in wheeled sports in all its forms; regardless of gender, age, ethnicity or ability. Through working with various partnerships, we are developing a centralised cycling hub with additional support and infrastructure provided by partners who will complement the facility but operate independently.”
The Bike Park hosted the ‘Opening Jam,’ last summer which was a resounding success, and has continued to bring the community together with Jam Sessions and Ladies Nights. These events have seen an incredible turnout, with seasoned riders sharing the tracks with those just starting out.
