The World Championships are the biggest event in the cycling calendar with millions of excited fans looking forward to the weekend each year.
This year the Downhill World Champs will be held on the formidable Fort William DH track and the local MTB scene is buzzing! Bring your bike and join in with the World Champs fringe events in the Fort.

The World Champs are almost here and Off Beat Bikes is throwing a party you won’t forget! We’ve got it all, from an exciting e-bike sale to a special competition, free cake and even neck and shoulder massages to help you relax after a long day of cheering. Fort William Fringe Events
Wednesday 2nd August
FORT WILLIAM BIKE PARK OPENING. Join for a jam session on the new pumptrack, skatepark and all abilities track. Music, food, prizes, don’t miss it! 2- 8pm next to Lochaber High School.
GIRLS ON HILLS TRAIL RUN. Everyone is invited to join Girls On Hills for a run to the incredible North Face of Ben Nevis. Don’t forget your swimming kit as they’ll be a dip en route.
Thursday 3rd August
LOCHABER TRAIL ASSOCIATION DIG DAY. Join the LTA for a day of digging, trail maintence, demo bikes and and riding with Specialized Soil Searching.
Friday 4th August
OFF BEAT BIKES PARTY! Come and join us for a late night special of family fun with a competition, free massages, Ebike test rides and FREE CAKE. 10-7pm, don’t miss the fun.
SCOTTISH CYCLING RACE THE WORLDS. Cheer on the best young riders in scotland as they battle it out for the title! Our supported riders Lily and Ila will be racing so be sure to say hi.
TALES FROM THE TRAILS. Join for an night of inspiring films and energizing speakers as they tell you the stories of how trails are positively impacting local communites.
