Fort William is the heart of mountain biking in Scotland famed for World Cups in downhill, cross country and 4X. All the World Cup trails are open for the public to ride outside races bringing thousands every year to tackle the infamously rough Fort William downhill track. It’s not all long rough descents as there are so many great trails to explore at Nevis Range from their lower blues and reds to natural trails hidden in Leanachan Forest.

Fort William boasts some of the most beautiful scenery Scotland has to offer. From the fire roads of Nevis Range, you can see the breathtaking north face of Ben Nevis whilst exploring the single track through Leanachan Forest. In summer, the Gondola takes you 650m up the 8th highest mountain in Scotland for stunning 360 views while you ride down.

Nevis Range is perfect for a family day out on the bikes! Your kids are bound to love the witches’ trails offering plenty of flowing single track and gentle berms. Don’t forget to visit the skills loop after your ride on the blues! And why not finish off with a hot chocolate in one of their cosy cafes?
