Get Ready For The Pump Track At Off Beat Bikes
We are super excited that the Fort William Bike Park is ready to open its doors to the public! And what better way to celebrate than with a free jam session on the eve of the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships?
The Fort William Bike Park is a dream come true for all bike and skate lovers in the Highlands. It features a state-of-the-art pump track and skate park, built by the renowned Velosolutions, as well as an adaptive track for beginners and people with special needs. The pump track is 265m of pure fun, with smooth berms, fast straights and creative transfer lines. The skate park has ramps, rails and bowls for all levels of skaters. And the adaptive track is 85m of gentle curves and bumps, perfect for learning and enjoying.
The opening jam will take place on Wednesday, August 2, from 2pm to 8pm, at the bike park site next to Lochaber High School. It will be a festive afternoon with food, music, prizes and giveaways. You might even see some pro riders shred the pump track and show you some tricks. And of course, you will have the chance to ride the new tracks yourself and test your skills.

The opening jam is also a great warm-up for the downhill mountain biking championships, which will start on Thursday, August 3, at the Nevis Range. You can watch some of the best riders in the world compete on the legendary World Cup Track, which is the only official World Cup downhill trail in the UK. You can also enjoy some other events and activities around the town during the championships.
