2009 Christmas Handicap
An extra loop made the handicapper’s task a little more difficult as the Wheelers blew away the weekend’s excesses in Glen Nevis. This year’s Xmas handicap was won by Rory Robinson with Jamie Maxwell just having enough years on Alistair Maclennan to pip him for second. KT Tuer was well up the field as first lady with Michael Lawrie doing well as the first junior. James Shirley completed the course on a tiny bike that had previously decorated the family Xmas tree. Ninian Christie decided to submit himself to further punishment as he added a lap of the kids’ course to his ordeal. Next Winter League race is at Nevis Range on the 29th December.
