2007 Chritmas Handicap results
A clear dry afternoon brought West Highland Wheelers to Glen Nevis for their Xmas handicap race. John Thompson was the clear winner after a fast 8 mile blast, with Corina Macdonald in second place and Maggie Thompson just failing to make it a Thompson 1 – 2 on the podium. Apart from a few anomalies, the handicaps worked well with 16 riders coming across the line within 80 seconds in the middle of the pack, making the timekeeper break into a cold sweat. Special mentions go to Donald Paterson who made up 24 places and recorded the fastest corrected time, for the Shirleys for braving a tandem and to Spook and Pele Munro for having the most hi-tech bikes on the starting line.
