Wolftrax round 6
West Highland Wheelers headed for Wolftrax at Laggan for the sixth round of the Off Beat Bikes sponsored Winter League. Fast and flowing singletrack combined with some grinding uphills gave the riders a great race in good conditions. Ben Thompson hauled himself across the line just 0.2 of a second in front of Michael Bossard with nothing more than a tyre width separating the two of them after a gruelling battle. Close behind were Graeme Neagle and Gavin Shirley. Angus Macsween continued his progress with a fine finish.
Colleen Foggo made no mistake with a solid first for the ladies with Marian Austin in second place.
With just 3 races to go, Graeme Neagle heads the points series, followed by Angus Macsween, John Shirley and Graeme Brooks. Regular attendance at each race piles on the points for the frontrunners. Colleen Foggo now leads KT Tuer by a mere 5 points in the ladies series. Next stop is Tomich on the 11th March.
