Fearnoch round 3
27 mountain bikers turned out on Wednesday 27th to compete in the 3rd round of the West Highland Wheelers Winter League which is sponsored by Off Beat Bikes. The course was set by Gavin Queen of the Forestry Commission for Scotland in Fearnoch forest near Oban and proved to be a big hit with all the riders.
The race turned out to be a close one between various groups of people with Gavin Shirley just managing to sprint across the line in front of local lad Graham Neagle. Jamie Cameron, home on his holidays pulled out a very quick 3rd place just in front of Tom Smith, another Oban local.
First lady across the line was KT Tuer in a very fast time of 56.34 followed by Colleen Foggo with 59.29.Fionna Gunn was next and followed by Claire Treasurer.
